The Seven Features Useful for Engaging in a Moment of Radiant Compassion
Last updated: October, 2008
Except for the first feature, these are not listed in any order of occurence. These features apply to seeking radiant compassion for yourself and also sharing the radiant compassion space with others.
Compassion: Know your own understanding and practice of compassion toward yourself and toward all sentient life.
Mindfullness: Know your responsibility to the moment.
Sacred Unknowing: Sit in comfort with "unknowing", let go while embracing the "sacred" nature of the moment.
Empty Self: Find empty desire and let go of the "self".
Sacred Calling: Listen for the "sacred calling" and then act with wisdom according to that calling.
Processing: Always follow-up with processing the radiant moment by examining the "meaning making" which occurs.
Be Prepared: Practice walking the "razors edge" (the middle way) so that you are ready and open for any possibility.
Some of the topics connected to compassion awareness and development are discussed on this web site - see the Helping Relationship Tree
Other, more detailed, descriptions of each of these seven features, along with the characteristics of radiant compassion, can be found on the advanced site.

Thanks to my brother Mike for an extended period of email discussions which led to the development of this list of features (Summer, 2008).
